‘Denver Home Security Judge’ Joins as Platinum Sponsor

Helping us make Project Cosplay 2017 better is Denver’s own Denver Home Security Judge.

denver-hs-judge

A home security system is one purchase that is often well worth the cost. After all, this product will not only help protect you from break-ins (and potentially other issues, depending on the product you buy), but the system also provides confidence. That is something on which you can’t put a price. However, before you purchase a system or sign a contract, it is important to understand more about the companies you’re choosing from. That’s where Denver Home Security Judge comes in.

Denver Home Security Judge has a professional blog that provides advice on not just home security systems, but home security in general. Even better, Denver Home Security Judge has spent countless hours researching over 100 home security companies, and posted their top 3 home security company picks in Denver on their home page.

You can learn more about Denver Home Security Judge at http://denverhomesecurityjudge.com.

They will also have flyers available on the registration table so you can get more information on protecting your home and costumes!

Panel & Workshop Form Now Online

A big part of Project Cosplay is panels and workshops.

We are looking to manage these in 2017 much better by reducing the amount of time these crossover with large group shoots.

If you are interested in running a panel or workshop, please fill out the form here: Panels & Workshops Page

Please make sure you read the details on the form and provide as much information as possible. Panels do not have to be cosplay focused, as fandoms and other geek topics are more than welcome.

Project-Nerd Changes Clarified

If you are a follower of Project-Nerd, then you read this weekend that the Denver based geek blog will no longer be providing online entertainment after Saturday, September 3rd. This is important because Project Cosplay is organized by EEON, LLC, the same parent company for Project-Nerd.

This announcement has generated some questions on how it impacts things such as Project Cosplay.

The change with the Project-Nerd website will not impact Project Cosplay, as the show will continue in February as planned.

Although the Project-Nerd website will not continue through September, EEON, LLC will remain in business and will continue to operate Project Cosplay, Project-Nerd Publishing, the EEON Podcast Network, as well as other business ventures, both new and existing.

Featured shoots for Project-Nerd that were a part of Project Cosplay in year one will not be present this year, however EEON has standing relationships with numerous website and brands and will work to ensure maximum exposure on the web of the exciting galleries captured at the event.

If you have concerns or questions, please feel free to reach out to the Project Cosplay team. Otherwise, we can’t wait to see you all in February!

Michael ‘Knightmage’ Wilson Leading Friday Workshop

Project-Nerd, LLC is proud to announce that charitable cosplayer (and all around great guy), Michael Knightmage Wilson will be joining us for Project Cosplay 2017 to present the Friday Dinner Workshop as well as other charity themed panels.

Knightmage-Feature

Michael will be presenting $100 & 2 Hours: Great Cosplay on a Budget, Project Cosplay’s Friday Dinner Workshop that will feature an italian dinner, cash bar, and a demonstration on how to create a quality budget costume in a very tight deadline. Michael will be answering questions and hanging out throughout his demonstration. Dinner Workshop tickets are not included with general admission and must be purchased separately.

Besides the Friday Dinner Workshop, Michael will also be presenting panels on charity through cosplay as well as participating in many of the great shoots.

As per our Project Cosplay promise, Michael Knightmage Wilson will not be setup as a tabled guest however Project-Nerd does intend to allow table space for him to collect charitable donations throughout the weekend.

A current 16 year veteran Deputy Sheriff, Michael has been cosplaying since 2012 but the love for the comic and video game genre has been in his heart since he was little. Having many of his creations praised and displayed on numerous platforms, Michael has hosted cosplay panels at many conventions showcasing the positive, inspiring and supportive side of cosplay.

Genuinely loving to entertain, make a positive impact and bring smiles, Michael most often uses his costuming by participating in many charitable events, benefits, parades, birthdays and hospital visits to children. This has led him to becoming a member of esteemed costuming groups such as “The League of Heroes, The Heroes Alliance-Ohio Branch, East Coast Avengers, Costumers with a Cause and Superheroes to Kids in Ohio”. Michael often works closely with local and national charity organizations as a sponsor, such as The Make-A-Wish Foundation, Putting Downs First , Angels for Animals and many others. This has led Michael to making the “Knightmage: Cosplay Against/Awareness Campaign”. In 2014 Michael was awarded the “Presidential Volunteers Award” for his charitable deeds through cosplaying.

Project Cosplay takes place at the Embassy Suites by Hilton in Denver Stapleton on February 3-5, 2017. Tickets will go on sale June 1st and be available for just $35 for the entire weekend with prices increasing after the new year. Single day options will be available as well as there will be a VIP Package which includes access to both the Dinner Workshop and the Wrap Party for just $75.
